Adventures In The Field

MORE about ouR Evidence-based experiential site
designed as an embodied practice manual

HOW DO I USE AITF?

Log into AITF on your desktop or phone to access the AITF manual and its many multi-sensory resources.

The manual is organised into a unique model that follows a progressive sequence through different zones. As you move through, the zones unlock. Zones house three different kinds of resource galleries: sonic, visual and text. You design your own adventure by following your interest and choosing resources that appeal to you. Resources invite you to use your senses in different ways and activate multiple channels of your intelligence. Tuning one sense augments another, senses never operate in isolation.

The manual includes three maps that help you visualise the model and chart your experience.

Stay logged-in so you can practice anywhere anytime, the site remembers your progress.

WHY SPEND TIME WITH AITF?

Spend time with AITF to grow an embodied practice that nourishes you and feeds the relationships you have with people and the things you are interested in. Develop your embodied awareness, activate your creativity, cultivate resilience, release stress, alleviate anxiety and feed your psycho-physical health.

Learn to surface, connect with and experience the intelligence of your cells and how this can inform your daily life. You are sensate. You live in a kaleidoscopic, multi-dimensional world that reveals itself through your intelligent embodiment.

This work supports the various ways in which you might engage with your world and build connections – personally, socially and with your environment.

Dynamic movement, creativity and physical connection to others and our natural environments is a psycho-physical and sociological imperative. Practices that support this imperative are vital for our wellbeing, as well as the long-term sustainability of healthy and thriving communities.

TESTIMONIALS

“The AITF site is beautiful, highly professional, sophisticated & sonically mesmerising. I was taken by the fact that the material requires space and a particular frame of mind. It takes time. It allows people to open up and engage in their own time without having to be engaging with others and the pressures around that.”
Cecilia, Public Health Specialist

“It made me slow down and not be so anxious…helped me to be more connected… aware of my embodied self, more aware of my surroundings and in tune with my world.”
Nour, Artist

“Very enjoyable and fantastic wealth of resources and information. Made me slow down. Easy to navigate and liked the descriptions provided in each section. Loved the soundscapes as I found them immersive and accessible at all times, even when working they could be in the background. Mindfulness of how I feel and react to what’s going on around me.”
Kate, Tertiary Educator

“The material that I engaged with most was auditory and visual. The pace of AITF suited me and I think allowed deeper engagement as a result. In a general sense the most useful resources were those that slowed me down and allowed me to engage more deeply. For me they were connected to the natural world. I used them as a reflective tool.”
Meg, Artist

“Marvellous, utterly unique, transporting, beautiful. It just washes over me and cloaks me in my individuality.”
Tom, Physician

“I can’t get to Mona in lockdown but this gave me an embodied art experience. It’s like art gallery meets yoga and meditation.”
Erin, Marketing Specialist
